Hey, I recced SHADOW OF VADER to eldritch quite a while ago! :D *Sighs* Ah, good times. :3

Seriously, that was an awesome fic. Seriously awesome. :3 Honestly, I think Vastor's portrayal of Obi-Wan and Anakin both was probably one of the best I've read in a while. :)

Isn't it though! Vastor did something right, there. I don't know what, be s/he did something.

(I hated how s/he protrayed Padme, though. Did you?)

Huh. Interesting point about Padme. What exactly bugged you about it? :)

She...Padme was wimpy, me thinks. Not to the point where I want to call her unstrong. But to the point where she cried alot, and didn't really do much. And, okay, she was one of the Alliance leaders, and she did put the twins first--that doesn't bother me so much. But it's the fact that she just was ready to fall in Anakin's arms and weep and not do anything. And sometimes, I got the imppression that she *really* didn't want to be an Alliance leader.

She different from how I precieve her to be--and not in a good way.

Oooh, fantastic! Exciting recs from two different fandoms. I think I've run across the SW one before. But for the Greek myth - could you elaborate a little bit on what makes it AU? I'm familiar with Persephone's story in Greek myth, but not with the fandom enough to know why a depiction of Persephone as a strong character is AU. Am I missing context?

Right. Sorry. I consider it AU because..well...Persephone is stronger. And, to put it bluntly, it's not something readers see. We don't see Pershone ever leave. Compared to how I've seen her described on Wikipedia, and previous knowledge/how-that-myth-works tales, Persephone is not the same. Pershone was not weepy in Irong Queen, and she was wiser too.

Like I said, I may be pushing the line with Iron Queen. If you want me to, or something, I'll take it off. Or expand upon what I said up yonder. Whichever.

Thanks for the elaboration. I guess I'm mostly familiar with the myths from reading things like Bullfinch's Mythology - although there are totally some other great translations/redactions/retellings out there, too. Persephone to me is the woman who goes to her doom with her eyes wide open, over and over again. I picture her given away, unflinching.

No, don't change anything! I don't want to crimp your style, I just wanted a fuller picture of where you were coming from!

No problem.

Thanks! (And even if I had to get rid of it, I'd just pick a different Greek myth that was AU. :) I'm stubborn like that.)
