Congrats! I uust upgraded my TV recently too, and I love it.
ALso bene playing Puzzle Quest a lot recently on my DS. I have learned one thing. The game hates me. Really hates me. Hates me so much that it thinks about ways to get me when I have it turned off.
32 inches? Fie on that! My ancient c.2000 SDTV is 32 inches! It's also a flat CRT, though, which sorta balances that out.
The big issue is that it's the perfect size for an SDTV in our apartment. To go HD, we'd need to account for the new screen ratio, and bump that puppy up to a 42" screen at the very least. You'd probably add even more once you wall-mount it, since the Sorny is something like 15" deeper than your average flatpanel.
All that said, 32 isn't bad for an HD set, but it all depends on your view distance. Any other reasons got a bigger TV have more to do with dickwaving than actual technical merit.
Well, I'm about six feet from the screen, so 32" seems HUGE.
I just played Portal and Half-Life 2 for the last hour, and I don't even know if we need to bother with the HDMI cable for it. The picture quality was flawless, sharp, and the blacks were really nice deep black.
The old 90 pound 31" CRT with green magnetized spots on the corners is now in the bedroom, waiting to be hooked up. I should probably do that sometime today.
If I had a HDMI equipped 360 I'd pickup the cable for it...still have one available connection on the HDMI switcher. But everything looks spiffy regardless through the component cable connection. Halo 3, Bioshock, Call of Duty 4...all just fantastic looking in HD.
