This week I had the honor of interviewing Maggie Stiefvater, who's debut novel, Lament, just hit the shelves. Read on for a glimpse at one of her early prose poems, as well as tidbits about her art and music, and information about the other novels she has coming up!

You won't be sorry to get your hands on a copy of Lament, either! The folks at FLUX did a lovely job of putting it together -- it *feels* really nice in your hands. And of course, Maggie's story will draw you in if you're at all a fan of Pamela Dean's Tam Lin or Elizabeth Marie Pope's The Perilous Gard. I highly recommend Lament!

You're right. I dropped into Borders, then Barnes & Noble and neither had it yet, but I ordered my copy. The nice customer service rep said it'll be in the store in five days. I guess I can wait that long. My TBR pile is taller than me, so it's not like I'll run out of reading material before it arrives. ;)

Hope you're having an awesome release week!

No pressure at all. I've been watching for a short time, but have been rereading the archives pretty obsessivly. You post a lot. Your posts are allways intelligent, well spoken, and NICE. From your posts I like you, so I will read your book.

I did the same thing to Caitlin Kittredge and Lillith Saintcrow and those both turned out to be right choices.

Unfortunatly I like so many folks on here that my stack of TBR is getting high.

I digress. I like your posts and that is my incentive to read your book. Well, that and it sounds like a concept I can enjoy.
