Before he joined the ship, Leo already had high respect for von Karma just based on his reputation. After joining the ship and seeing how von Karma runs his ship firsthand, that respect has only grown. He's proud to be working under such a man.

Surprisingly, he's not very intimidated by von Karma or his expectations of perfection... though, really, that's mostly because "Leo" and "intimidated" do not belong in the same sentence. Besides that, he's already comfortable working under living legends.

Leo hopes he'll be able to impress his new Captain. He doesn't quite realize yet how difficult it will be to do that.

...yes, it will be difficult. Although vK doesn't really mind Leo that much! He seems dutiful enough. Although, vK isn't exactly a fan of RELIGIOUS FERVOR, so... lol.

He might warm up to it a little when he realizes that Leo's RELIGIOUS FERVOR can be redirected into carrying out his Captain's orders. With extreme prejudice. :V

Leo adores Greta. Having grown up very close to his little sister, he has developed a strong, brother's love for young children, especially ones who are kind, well-behaved, and who want to do good things. And he's seen that Greta is all of the above.

They haven't interacted ICly, but, just for fun - little!Jenka from the Age Meme?

On the Age Meme... young!Leo was completely confused by Jenka. What threw them both off was the fact that his idea of what is "human" and what is a "monster" is a little different from others, especially since he's brave enough that he can't be intimidated out of seeing the humanity in something like a Jäger. (Unfortunately, he also can't sympathize enough with "bad" humans to see them as anything but monsters, no matter how sympathetic their situation may actually be...)

So, when he heard about all the things that are normal to a Jäger but horrible to other beings, he honestly felt bad for her. She seemed like some kind of sheltered slave.
