You NEED to get to Europe. Seriously. When you can scrape together the airfare, GO. You can get by on $1200-$1500 (or less, if you find CHEAP flights during non high season) if you backpack, camp, or stay in hostels, as well as cook your own food. And take trains. Europe by train is...cheap and fantastic, ESPECIALLY if you are that person who likes to stare out the window when you're the passenger in a car. Some of my favorite memories from my trip last summer are the train rides from Vienna to Prague and Prague to the Czech countryside. Bohemia + Adagio for Strings on iPod + my brain = bliss.

*sighs wistfully*

Seriously, go. Don't let anything stop you. This is when you're supposed to do this stuff. Go.

aaaaaah I want to go. SO hard. I'm at the point where, HONESTLY, the only thing holding me back is the cost, especially considering I still don't have my passport (ug. Bad Kim. When I had the expendable $100-ish, I procrastinated). I like to watch the travel channel and Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservations" is like porn to me. Especially when he goes and eats indigenous cuisine. "Under any other circumstances, I wouldn't touch it, but that deep-fried tripe he's eating looks SOOOO GOOD"

And I'll be honest, I think a bit of my desire to visit eastern Europe is from the fact that you had such a good trip there last year. I can -imagine- this "perfect experience!" in Prague that's completely colored with Adagio for Strings, my arms outstretched in triumph, and this twirling panoramic camera videotaping around my body like a bad chick-flick movie.

Europe is a great place to hit! I'd probably try to go to Italy 'cause of all the art there. Good luck on your fic! It sounds like a lot of planning and thought. Kind of how I write too but sometimes it's best to just write and think about all the other complicated stuff later. And surprisingly there are some people out there that do like slow character insight~ ;D

And I really enjoyed the Winnie the Pooh video! I didn't know it was Russian! It makes me like it more!!! I'm probably just super excited for the Winnie the Pooh movie that's coming out soon! ^__^ I <3 Winnie the Pooh!

And see, I think I'd end up in eastern Europe for the Byzantine and/or Russian-inspired art XD After taking 19th and 20th century Russian Lit with USF's head of the foreign language department, I fell in love with the culture.

Ooooh writing. See, I have to have the entire plot plotted out, or else I will write off course, or I'll never achieve an ending, or the story will fizzle out. If I don't plot my goals, I end up with a story that's full of dryer lint

And that video!!! I have had "Proom-poom-poom-proom!" stuck in my head for two days now, only I don't mind at all. I actually prefer the Russian version to the Disney one XD
