THANK YOU. Both for the birthday wishes and the suggestion.
One of the reasons I was looking into Teavana is because I've had their stuff before-- so I've been able to taste it. I'm always afraid that, when I buy dried tea, it'll end up tasting like the crap that they sell in the Lipton's tea aisle at the grocery store. I'll DEFINITELY check them out
I always try the samples at Teavana and they are wonderful it's just too much money. My cousin bought the black tea set at Adagio which came with the teapot and the 4 sample teas for $19. I thought I'd hate black tea but I really did like the earl grey tea especially added with milk. :) So it's definitely going to be different from Lipton's tea~ Haha~
I know from personal experiences that I don't really dig green or white teas-- they're too light for me. I prefer fruity, herbal ones. And rooibos.
In all, I've been comparing Adagio and Teavana online and, for the teas that I want, the price difference isn't too much. I already have the teapot and strainer, so those aren't a problem. And Teavana sells tea starting at two ounces, which they say makes 25-30 cups of tea. For the Adagio, the "sample" tins make 8-10 cups, and the next price up is 4 ounces.
The biggest indicator for my preferences, though, is the genres of tea. Teavana IS a little more expensive, but it offers a mixture of flavors. I don't want to have purchase a mango tea AND a passionfruit one to create something for my palate when Teavana already has them mixed. And I've actually tried some of Teavana's blends, so I know I like them.
I'll probably end up ordering off of both sites XD My parents gave me a bunch of money for my birthday and right now, that's equating to a LOT of tea
Wanna hear a funny story? There is a cheesecake factory down the street and most places in LA have underground parking or whatever because there are no parking lots. So they have their own garage (which is pretty nice actually because it has free valet). One day Kris and I were walking past another garage and it had a sign that said "NO CHEESECAKE PARKING" which obviously made me lol.
Never park your cheesecake in that place, you'll get a ticket!
Thank you, hon! We did have fun-- though it ended up being REALLY expensive and I felt pretty bad about it. But I enjoyed myself-- and ended up COVERED in glitter because my friend dumped an entire tube of craft-glitter into the card she made me XD
And I totally bought over a pound of dried tea with my birthday money so I'm SUPER excited for that to come in the mail!

I agree with you about 22 feeling more mature than 21. Just like (for me, at least) 20 felt SO MUCH OLDER than 19.
I hope you had a great night out with your family.
