Monday afternoon I had a fantastic time at LACMA with Niala and Amy. :D I had never been to LACMA before, outside of the time I went to the King Tut exhibit. And that day, I only went to the exhibit, not the rest of the museum. I would have liked to have seen the Japanese art on this trip, but I love what I saw. I highly suggest visiting the Huntington museum in San Marino if you're into art museums (which I do in every different city I go to). It has a lot of pieces in the Rococo style (think foo-foo) and neo-classical/colonial.

The Huntington is actually my local favorite. It has Joshua Reynolds' Sarah Siddons as the Tragic Muse. I've been captivated by that painting ever since I had to do a paper on it back in 12 grade. I had just a Xerox to go on, but I was inspired. When I went to the Huntington for the first time, I had no idea the painting was housed there. Totally made my day. :D
