If You're Happy and You Know It...SQUEE Out Loud!
It's Fangirly Friday and this is your Official Tour Stop.
Welcome! I have given much thought as to what I should offer for my stop on the Fangirl Tour. I considered compiling a grab bag of titles from a variety of fandoms and ships I have read along the way. After that, I thought art, gotta have ART! Then the voices in my head (Don't worry. They're benevolent.) started chanting "Stick With What You Know." I started reading fanfic when it was actually in book form in my Trek days. (Gasp! Yes, I am ancient.) I've read stories from numerous fandoms, but always moved on to something new until the current millennium dawned. In this brave new world, I found HARRY POTTER and more importantly, Severus Snape. My newfound Snape obsession took over. I fell in love with a Potions Master, set up housekeeping, and never looked back. So I decided to show you some of the reasons I fell in love with Snape and Snape fans. They are such creative, generous, dedicated, ingenious and humorous people. Many of the recommendations that follow have a decided bent toward SS/HG, which is my favorite ship and final home in the world of Potter, but it's really all about Severus Snape. As it should be.

What happens when a snarky, decorated war hero of a Potions Master meets a spunky little American witch and journalist from the Deep South? Buttons go flying!

Because of all the Snape/OFC stories I have read, this one holds a special place in my heart. It started out as a oneshot in answer to the Buttons Challenge on The Potions Master's Muse and you can just read the first chapter as a stand alone, if you like. If you venture forward, be aware that it is unfinished, but not abandoned, despite a very long time without an update. However, it does not stop with a cliffhanger. Although many subplots remain unresolved, the romance is in a good place where the story stops. You could easily imagine your own happily-ever-after epilogue for this and be a very happy little camper. Perhaps one day we will know the true ending for this story.

A slow-building friendship between Severus Snape and Hermione Granger which turns to romance only after she returns to Hogwarts as the Arithmancy professor.
