Many apologizes for the late post, but unfortunately, I haven't had internet access since late Friday. Power blackouts are pretty common here. So you get two-for-the-price-of-one today. This is a mixed-bag of recs from the fandoms I've been all aglow about recently.

Recs from Alias, Ashes to Ashes, Glee, Kick-Ass, The King's Speech, Mad Men, Vorkosigan Saga, The West Wing/The Thick of It, and White Collar )

!official fangirl tour stop, the thick of it, west wing, mad men, ashes to ashes, white collar, glee, kick-ass, the king's speech, alias, vorkosigan saga

It's so common over here it's stopped bothering me so much. What was annoying was that I was off for Easter break, and looking forward to catching up on internet-related things, and boom, rolling blackouts for two days.

Thanks for the tags!

These do look super awesome! I really want to read the Blaine fic, the Mad Men fic, and the White Collar, Im such a fan of sam, but somehow I always miss stuff he's written. Thanks for these!

The Blaine fic makes my heart smile. I was lurking a bit in the original Blaine-as-Pinoy discussion on kurt_blaine, so it was fascinating to see the idea go from a fangirl roundtable to Satora fleshing it out fully. Mswyrr writes fantastic fic and some of the best meta out there, so it didn't surprise me she wrote that Mad Men fic (though I keep forgetting she did!). And Sam, how do we love Sam? I'm so glad my flist keeps me updated with what he writes because I'd never keep up.

Pointed here by someone at AO3 -- thanks so much for reccing my story. I almost didn't post it because it's so close to RPF and the movie itself is so satisfying.

As I said over on AO3 (I'm voodoochild over there, yes the name change is very confusing), you're very much welcome. It was such a spot-on depiction of the characters I'd loved so much in the movie. I'm glad you posted it despite the RPF thing.

Having listened at this point to half a dozen interviews with Firth and Rush in which they say things like Lionel and Bertie fell in love at first sight (not to mention Lionel's grandson on a DVD feature calling them an old married couple), I feel less guilty. I have so much love for the film, I am completely flattered if you think I got the characters right!
