All aboard for Friday's Fangirl Tour!

Oct 22, 2010 02:22

This will be a rather eclectic stop on the Tour but I hope to temp you to click a rec or two. I’m a newbie to the tour but not the Potterverse, where most of these recs come from. We seem to hang out in different areas but perhaps I can interest you in something you wouldn’t ordinarily encounter. If not, I’ve included some surprises as well…….
As I'm sure everyone's reading list has grown exponentially, this is a whistle stop tour of short stories and art. )

!official fangirl tour stop, the addams family, harry potter, the little prince, star trek - the original series, doctor who, singin' in the rain, gone with the wind

I don't know how I've never seen A Very Potter Musical, but I am soooo enjoying it.

La Reigne and Remember the Fallen are slightly Narcissa/Lucius but both are character studies. All of the other stories are totally gen.

Narcissa/Lucius is actually one of the few canon pairings I care for, so this is all right with me. ^_^

Ah, then you should really like La Reigne and Remember the Fallen. Between the two, they are just over 1000 words but they pack a remarkable punch.

Thank you so much for the rec. What a lovely way to start the workday.

And Lina Lamont fic!!! What an excellent idea. Why did I never think to look for any? (Or even write some!) Lina is one of the most sparkling characters in the literary/cinematic firmaMINT. Love that character. And I already know I'm going to love this story, just from seeing that it starts with a little nugget from Dora Bailey.

Great list.

Oh, that story is a gem. I found Debbie Reynolds a bit insipid, especially in Singing in the Rain. But revenge is so evil, it simply fills me with glee!
