Supplemental Post: Art IDs

Oct 17, 2010 22:09

Back again!   I apologize for the lack of info concerning the art;  one of the things that managed to vanish in the technical difficulties I had in posting this today are the links I had embedded in the art that would take you to the artist's gallery or website. I don't want to try editing the pics in the post for fear that something will happen ( Read more... )

This is great! Like two recs posts in one. Thank you.

(And thanks for "Team Spirit" -- love that. Makani's fabulous with expressions and body language.)

You're welcome (and I'm glad you are still speaking to me :-D)!

After a lovely, blush-inducing rec like yours? Why wouldn't I be?

Thanks! I'd like to leave the artists some feedback when I have more time to properly admire all of the goodies from the Tour.

You're very welcome - and thanks for doing that! I think only a fraction of the people who look and admire actually tell and artist or author so (and I know I've been guilty of that in past, though I'm trying to be less shy).

I don't create fanworks so sometimes I feel useless or talentless in this regard. But I have messages save where writers and artists on occasion say that a comment really made their day! You never know when they'll see it and it is nearly always welcome.

Great again! Makani's art is such a lovely start to the day. Goes down well with Nutella-on-bread, too.

It wasn't until after kellychambliss posted that I found out that my links were broken, and I couldn't leave the artists without acknowledgement. Once again, thanks to you and firefly_124 for being patient with me in my noobie-ness. :-)

I'm soooo looking forward to some gallery hopping fun. Thanks for adding all the art info and links. I have run across karasu_hime before and she has some work on her DeviantArt account at http://karasuhime.deviantart.com/

Love the comic strip! Early on in my ponderings of a theme for a tour stop, I considered an all comics post. There are some really funny comics and some stunning graphic novels out there with Potter themes!

Thanks for sniffing out karasu_hime at Deviant Art. I looked for her a couple of ways and failed both times (the search function @ DA needs some refinement). It's a shame that she hasn't put the best of her things there, though. Since she is most active in the Snupin fandom, those sites are where it's easiest to find her work.

Ooooo - recs, please?

I really need to post a bunch of links to my journal for amusing HP comics. Hopefully I'll get around to that this weekend. I'll let you know!
