What amazing choices you've made. I think the Rooftop Kiss in V for Vendetta is probably my favorite, although the Darcy's Letter watercolor is really stunning.

I was ever so cheeky when it came to interpreting the Fangirl Tour guidelines but I really wanted to expand what I recc'ed beyond my SSHG fic preferences.

As I don't read much beyond them (except things that have been recc'ed here, mostly) but I do spend a lot of time browsing deviantart it seemed a good way to go about it!

I'm very pleased you enjoyed the post, and how appropriate it is that someone I've met through SSHG actually found the V and P&P stuff most to their liking ;-)

That TomScribble one is unbelievable. I'm always riveted by those group paintings of scientists and guilds and politicians, just as I like paintings of people working (from Caillebotte's The Floor Scrapers to Liz Moon's paintings of laboratory and glasshouse workers). Thanks for selecting all of those!

Oh, me too! I love those pictures in the National Gallery of scientists debating or examining things. There's one of a vacuum flask but I can't remember who its by.

Excellent! There are so many good art recs here, although I have to say that I'm particularly tickled with the Fforde/NCD ones, because I just started reading the NCD series not long ago.

The Tom Scribble drawing of the Order is just jaw-dropping
