Small Freak Out

Since I quit smoking I cannot write like I used to write.  The concentration, the flow, and basically everything I had with my writing has been so off course.  Imagine driving a boat on land, using a map of Italy to navigate, even though you are in the Colorado Rockies.  That bad.  I feel like I get small glimpses at my previous level of ( Read more... )

You're having the problems because of the disruption to the writing routine, methinks. Part of which may have something to do with smoking/not smoking while writing.

Don't worry too much about this, dear... That just means you need to establish a new writing pattern and all that doesn't involve the smoking, I suspect.

When I started writing I wasn't a smoker. I had 10,000 word days. But when I returned it became a way to focus and keep attentive.

I am trying different things, but it is very frustrating. I have been quit for nearly 7 months. You'd think, since I now have everything else going smoothly, I should have writing back to normal too... That's what scares me. This is the last hold out to normalcy.
