WOW! This was quite a trip! I'm so happy you shared your favourite parts in the first post so I could pay special attention to them throughout. It does seem a bit overwhelming, but how many people can say they traveled the Silk Road?

Did you have a different camera on your second trip or are the lakes just that much more photographable?

Thank you for writing all this up. I feel very educated! *hugs*

love, lore

:D Yeah, it is probably a bit too much to take in all at the same time. I am happy you like it!

No, I used the same camera, Canon Powershot S50. Basically just point and shoot for me. Most of this trip was about history and culture rather than landscape and scenery, that's probably the main difference between the 2 trips.

Thanks for the comment and telling me what you think again! :) *hugs back*

*awestruck* These pics are beautiful and so full of life. It's so interesting to see the landscape changes when going from place to place.

I have to go to bed now because I have to be at the airport in a few hours. I'm going to read commentary at the sites you linked when I get back. I would love to visit the region one of these days and your links are very helpful.

Talk to you when I get back. *steal meme from next entry*

I probably got a bit too carried away with the links, but it was easier to quote others than writing up my own descriptions. Thanks for your compliments, I am happy that you enjoyed reading this and seeing the photos! :) travelchinaguide.com seems to have a lot of organized tours on their website so probably worth having a look if you do decide to go. I may be able to help too with finding information and such.

Hope you have lots of fun at Lake Tahoe and Happy New Year!
