It was getting dark quickly, but she wasn't tired. Dense clouds coated the dark blue sky and you could barely tell the moon was out.
"Just another lap," she told herself.
She knew she had to work her hardest. She didn't make it on the Appleby Arrows Quidditch team for nothing. She made it because of her talent and her accomplishments while on the Gryffindor Quidditch team. She had also convinced them that she had managerial skills that could prove useful in the future when they needed a new captain for their team.
At that moment she saw a figure walk onto the Ellis Moor Quidditch Pitch. She squinted her eyes hoping she could figure out who the person was, but she couldn't. Then the person mounted their broom and started to fly laps as well. She shrugged her shoulder deciding it must be a fellow Quidditch player needing practice. After twenty minutes of flying laps, the person stopped. They swaggered on their broom and then started to fall towards the ground below. Alicia tried to get her wand out of her pocket in time to break the person's fall, but failed to do so. Her wand had gotten stuck in her pocket. She flew towards the spot where the person lay.
"Are you okay?" she asked them. She knelt down beside them and that's when she noticed the person's face. It was Miles. She hadn't seen him since the last game she played against him and before that their Hogwarts years. She brushed his hair away from his face, but he still wasn't moving. Suddenly there was a pop.
"Stop right there! I should've known you would hurt him," came the sneering voice of Adrian Pucey.
"Hurt him? What are you talking about? He got here on his own accord and fell after practicing for twenty minutes," Alicia replied.
Adrian shook his head. He knew Alicia was right. Miles had been sick for the past week and refused to be on bed rest. He didn't want Alicia to know any of this. It wasn't her business any ways. He flicked his wand and Miles floated in the air. Adrian started to walk out of the Pitch with Miles in tow.
"Where are you going? Where are you taking him?"
"Where do you think? I'm taking him home. He's not well," was Adrian's reply and then they vanished. Alicia was left dumb founded, knowing she would need to visit Miles when she got the chance to make sure he was doing okay.
