Alicia remembers the spinning and twirling. The moment she laughed merrily as he dipped her. He brought her up only to meet his lips. They were practicing for an upcoming performance they had. Miles and Alicia were going to dance at Alicia's sister's wedding. She was marrying a rich bloke, who had graduated from Beauxbatons. She didn't know much about him, all she knew was that she loved him and he treated her well. Alicia couldn't argue with that so she gave her sister her blessing. She did so even though she believed her sister was only after his money.
She remembered how she met Miles. She was running late for Quidditch practice. Oliver would have her head, she knew this. She tried to rush as much as possibly when she bumped into him. He leered at her.
"Watch it Spinnet! Wouldn't want to injure yourself before you even get on the field," he sneered.
He knew she was a talented player and for that very reason he had to taunt her. If she believed she would beat him at Quidditch, she had another thing coming. She ignored him and continued on her way. He never let a day go by without making a comment. Some days it was about her blood line, other days it was about her Quidditch skills, overall he enjoyed talking to her even if it did annoy her to no end.
Miles remembers the way her lips felt the first time he stole a kiss from her and the way her hair fell into her eyes. The moment he cupped her face gently as tears streamed down her cheeks. He wiped her tears away gently and consoled her. They meet in Madam Puddifoot's regularly to catch up on things. He doesn't like it in there. The floating golden cherubs throwing pink confetti scare him every time.
"I swear to you Alicia. Those cherubs leer at me every time I come in," he tells her.
"You're just paranoid," she replies, dismissing his suspicion. To this day he stands by what he said and got proof when one of the cherubs' arrows "accidentally" hit him in his posterior. Alicia finds it amusing and makes them go there more often just so she can catch sight of a cherub attacking him again. And so it ends in laughter and in pain.
