Alicia pulled out the map that had been given to her. She examined it carefully, knowing there was something odd about it. She took her wand out and pointed it at the map. Her wand revealed that the map was enchanted. She threw it aside, knowing she couldn't trust it. She should've known Montague and Miles wouldn't give her a true map of his home. She grew frustrated with the circumstances that were developing.
She headed out of the basement she had been trapped in. As she did so the atmosphere seemed to shift suddenly from the dark and damp basement she had grown used to to a lighter and safer hallway. She knew looks were deceiving. She couldn't shake the feeling that she was being watched. She made her way to a bedroom. It was Montague's bedroom. She checked it carefully because she knew this would be the main place Angelina would be. She found nothing. Suddenly she heard a door swing open and out came Montague.
"Still haven't found Angelina I see?"
"You better pray I don't find out you've harmed her. I will come after you if you did."
"Oh how sweet. You're threatening me now," he sneered.
Alicia has to hold back the urge to hurt him then and there. She leaves the room before he can further harm her. She hopes she doesn't run into Miles because she wouldn't be so kind to him. She smiles to herself as she goes into a nearby bathroom. She giggles quietly because they don't know. She pulls out her locket. Angelina has an identical one. She remembers the day she got it. Angelina had wrapped it in a red box with yellow ribbon. The color combination made her laugh. Angelina was definitely a Gryffindor through and through.
"A locket? Oh how beautiful," she remembers telling Angelina.
"It's not just a locket. It's a way we can communicate with each other. Merlin forbid someday something bad happens to one of us, the other one can figure out what that is and help."
"Cool. I'll never take it off."
As she now stares into the locket she hopes it works. She never had a need for it in the past. She closes her eyes and prays silently to herself. She wonders if she has the courage to tell Angelina the truth about Montague. She knows how much she loves him and she doesn't want to ruin that for her. She opens her eyes and then the locket. She's amazed by how quickly and clearly she can see her friend.
"Angelina where are you?"
"I don't know. What's going on?" she replied groggily.
It's obvious that Montague has drugged her. Alicia sighs, hoping this hold back her tears.
"Can you tell me what's around you?"
"No."
Tears start streaming down Alicia's face. She closes her eyes and at once she's where Angelina is being hidden. She instantly hugs her friend. "I was so afraid I wouldn't find you Ange," she tells her. She put away her locket and hides her friend's locket. She doesn't want this secret to be revealed.
Near midnight she meets up with Miles and Montague in the dining room. By now she has had a chance to make Angelina come to. She explains everything she can to her, but leaves out certain details. Angelina is hurt as she foresaw, but she knew it was the only way to save her from Montague. Her pain would be temporary.
"I found her," she tells the men.
"How?" Montague inquires.
"Don't worry about. Now you've got to hold up your end of the deal."
"Hell no!" Miles yells. He lunges at Alicia, but Angelina hexes him causing him to fall back. The two girls apparate away before things get more violent. Montague knows he's been defeated, but in his mind he's not completely ready to call it quits. He hopes Angelina can forgive him, but he also knows Alicia's made sure they'll never be together again. For this he hates her and vows to get back at her.
