CSI: NY Future!Fic

I'm looking for a fic I only remember a little bit about it's been so long; i don't even remember if I liked it or not, just that the few details I remember are making my brain itch.
So, it was a CSI: NY fic set in the future where they are on spaceships and there was something in the intro about genetic manipulation. Anyway, Mac's in charge of one

The only Mac/Danny/Don fic I remember which is AU is set in a wing!verse, and Mac goes the extra length to 'acquire' a winged Don so Danny can be with/near him... but that's not the fic you want, obviously.
