I will preface this post by saying that the fic itself is several years old. I posted it originally on a LOTR fic list via Yahoo Groups, so it's quite possible that you've seen it before. However, I'm working on continuing the series and could really use both feedback and encouragement to actually finish what I'm working on

What a wonderful story! The imagery you use is beautiful and so evocative that, like Legolas, "From the way you describe it, I can almost see it in my mind."

The concept of an elf raised by humans is extremely intriguing and your handling of it very well done. Now that we have changed the rating requirements to allow NC-17 fiction, I look forward to reading Finding Love which I certainly hope you will also post here!

Honestly, I wanted to do something a little different. She had to be unique to get Legolas' attention... considering that he's probably a couple thousand years old and still unattached in LOTR. So she had to be something special... but I also didn't want to Mary Sue her. So she had to be something special WITHOUT becoming an Important Personage to the story. Because no one likes a Mary Sue.

I do have one story idea that I started that has her show up in Gondor for the coronation of Aragorn, among the Elvish contingent... but I'm having a hard time being true to her character while not actually having her interfere with the original storyline. I may post it as-is and see if people think it's worth continuing or if I should abandon the idea.

And thank you for changing the rating issue. I will go post Finding Love now!
