Konishi was never one for intimate relationships even when she was in the RG. She held everything at a strictly formal relationship, and even then the amount of interaction with people was low because honestly, no one could hold up to her intellectual standard. Even the pact with her partner had been a grudging one, and she only made it because it was an important piece of the game.
Emotions were useless things too; they only clouded one’s judgment and made everything more complicated. As far as she was concerned, Konishi could have cared less about ‘love’, much less the idea of being with someone. So when she had met Minamimoto (a vexatious chimp to be sure), Konishi found how odd it was that she kept thinking about much she disliked him. His flyaway hair, his utter disregard for the rules…it was everything in a person that could turn Konishi off. And yet there was something about him that she couldn’t deny she found slightly intriguing about him. Don’t get her wrong; she wasn’t attracted to him in anyway - please, she would rather be clumped together with chimps than ever admit that - but his sheer ambition and intelligence that somewhat matched hers was a standout that made his other disheartening qualities fade, if only slightly.
So when she found herself thinking about the vexatious chimp again she let out a small, appalled gasp before making sure that she was never ever to think that disgusting thought again. Yes, she would never ever again admit that she had even thought for a minute that she wouldn’t mind being in a couple if it meant Minamimoto being the other half.
