One day Renji had came home from work and found Mizu lying on the couch, singing softly. He had only heard her sing with the school chorus before, and had never heard her voice solo before.
"Right now as my remaining feelings draw near, I look for the meaning of strength; Wishing for you to be here is true courage; Next to me are my warm feelings and shining strength of passion; Teaching me each detail is what the true heart is..." Mizu sang the next to last verse, then finished the song, holding the last note for a few seconds as she rubbed her now rather large stomach.
"That was beautiful." Renji said, heading over and kissing her. "It sounded familiar though."
Mizu laughed. "Seiichi-kun taught it to me." She said, wrapping her arms around her husband. "He said you guys had some kind of song writing project when you all in junior high."
Renji smiled as he remembered that. "Ah, I barely remember that. I'm sure the baby enjoyed that."
"Actually, I was only singing it because it was stuck in my head. Have you head from him lately?" Mizu asked. There was usually a reason things like that happened.
"Not lately, but it is winter, and I'm sure there are several things going on in his life as well." Renji said, joining Mizu on the couch, resting his hand over his child.
Mizu smiled. "He's sleeping for now." She said, trying to get up. Renji gave her a push. "So annoying." She said, heading off for the bathroom. After she was finished she came back out. "What do you want for dinner?" She asked, heading for the kitchen.
Renji jumped up quickly. "Shouldn't you be resting?" He asked. "I can fix dinner."
Mizu glared at him. "Renji, I'm tired of resting. I'm going to go insane if I rest any more. I don't think whether I rest or not...Uh!" Mizu grabbed on to the counter, panting and looking like she very much was in pain.
"Mizu!" Renji rushed over to her, supporting her on the other side. "Is it...?"
"I think it is." Mizu said. "I think this kid is on his way out."
