Word Count: 100
Rating: G
Summary: She used to dance.
Author's Notes: Series of drabbles, all 100 words.
Lisa used to want to be a ballet dancer. She took ballet from when she was four until she was fifteen.
She was graceful.
She was delicate.
She’d leap across the stage with her long dark hair tied up in a bun, her toes pinched and curled in her shoes. The light would be on her as she held her arms out and spun on one foot.
She lost her dream when school and ballet became too hard to juggle.
She now feels like that when Stacy holds her in her arms at night.
Graceful and delicate and a star.
Title: Pirouette.

Characters: Cuddy/Stacy
Prompt: 063 - Summer
Word Count: 100
Rating: G
Summary: One last time.
Author's Notes: Series of drabbles, all 100 words.
She quit in the summer. She landed badly on her left foot and twisted her ankle. A trip to the doctors confirmed it.
She’d need to stop, she knew. Her grades were suffering, and once she entered her final years of school it would be too hard. Her mother wanted her to get a holiday job among other things.
So she gave up after her last performance, feeling the heat of the lights on her, the applause of the audience…
Stacy asks her to give her one last pirouette. Lisa reluctantly agrees.
She lands awkwardly on her left foot again.

Prompt: 083 - And
Word Count: 100
Rating: G
Summary: Plus and equals what?
Author's Notes: Series of drabbles, all 100 words.
Occasionally, Lisa regrets giving up ballet. She knows she could never have made a career out of it- she’s too tall, and she could never give up her love for big Italian meals just to shed a few pounds.
The ballet business is finicky anyway, and going out of style. Everybody needs a doctor… ballerinas are optional.
She enjoys practicing as a doctor, anyway.
She finds a note on her desk one day, written in Stacy’s scrawled handwriting-
You + me + spaghetti tonight = better than ballet
And if she hadn't given up ballet, she’d have never met Stacy.

Her old shoes are under her bed in a box of her childhood belongings. Stacy goes through them with her, picking though old photographs- ‘Oh, how adorable’- tickets to concerts- ‘you were thirteen when you did this one?’ ‘It was just before my birthday, yeah, pretty much.’
She picks out her last pair of shoes. Lisa brushes her hands over them- over the box and platform, the shank and vamp. She remembers how many blisters she got, how cramped her toes were…
‘You regret giving it up?’ Stacy asks as Lisa sets them back in the box.
‘Not really… no.’
Title: Dawn.

Word Count: 100
Rating: G
Summary: A new day.
Author's Notes: Series of drabbles, all 100 words.
Stacy nurses them in her lap. Lisa’s head is on her shoulder, dozing. It’s just before five AM and it’s freezing cold. They’re both wrapped in a blanket, a cup of coffee in Lisa’s hands.
Running her fingers over the ribbon hanging off the shoes, Stacy smiles just slightly. She never danced- she finds herself struggling to waltz. Even on her wedding day she stumbled.
Lisa wakes up and rubs her eyes. The morning sun filters over them, giving the old shoes a reddish glow.
‘You should frame them.’
‘Why?’
‘They were a big part of your life.’
‘Not anymore.’
