Holiday catch-up

Along with being busy getting ready for Christmas, I've also been away because my computer got a bunch of horrible viruses that destroyed it beyond hope.  Fortunately, I'm in the habit of regularly backing everything up, so I didn't lose anything.  Also fortunately, my husband is a computer genius who was able to get my computer back up and running ( Read more... )

That sucks about your computer, but at least you had everything backed up! I'm obsessive like that, too. No way do I want to risk losing any writing/art saved on my comp!

Anyway, glad to hear you had a good Christmas! (Even if the Fire Gods ended up deprived this year. *snickers*) I hope you have an equally good New Year! :)

Over the past couple of years, I've had a few scares where I needed to completely refmormat and reinstall my computer and the only things I had backed up where what I could fit on my key drive. Ever since then, I've obsessively backed up everything to our server. And I mean everything.

The guys may be disappointed they didn't get to appease the fire gods, but the rest of us are perfectly okay with it. ;)

It was. I loved keeping my focus on family rather than all the extraneous holiday stuff. My mantra this year was Simple.

It was a great Christmas. I didn't miss any of the stuff I used to stress/obsess over with my preparations and just enjoyed a simple, quiet holiday with my family.
