In order to keep my promise that I wouldn't completely drop off the face of the earth this summer, here's a quick update:

  • Swimming lessons for T every morning.  He's finally getting brave and willing to try swimming on his own.  Today he even jumped off the diving board twice--with a life jacket on, of course.

I just started Linger today, but only made it through chapter 1 before I had to run errands.

The homemade jam is even better on homemade toast. ;)

My office wasn't too bad--I'd done a huge amount of work about 8 months ago, so only my desk and the immediate area surrounding it was messy, but it was still a good hour or two's worth of work.

Wow, you are a jam making machine. Awesome. I am of the opinion homemade is always better.

Good for you for encouraging T to move past his fears. have fun on the trail.

Enjoy your summer!

Homemade is definitely better.

T is making awesome progress. Today he rode on the nature trail all by himself--only needed a push to get started. Then in swimming lessons, he swam and jumped off the side w/o a life jacket or anyone to catch him. Yup, I'm one proud mama today.

It sounds like you are having a very busy and productive summer so far. The most important thing is that you are taking such good care of T. These will be times that he will remember. Keep up the good work on homemaking, journaling, writing and scrapbooking...at least you only have 8-1/2 years to do...

I hope he looks back on these times and has happy memories. I'm sure working hard to make sure of that.
