            It was a face I hadn’t seen in years.  One I’d been afraid I’d forgotten.  And now she looked at me in wonder and sorrow, tears tracking down her cheeks.

Whoa. This book is blowing my mind. I don't think I've ever seen you have such a handle on your characters like you do these. They really, truly take me into their world and I DON'T want to leave.

Well thank you! I do love these two. But I have a confession to make... I'm not always spot on with Rider. I have a lot of trouble with his voice (though I'm sure I'll be much better by the time I finish this first draft). But this scene here was one of those moments where I REALLY channeled him.
