Three years before, my best friend, Kim, moved to TX.  We’d been through so much together, surviving the horrible job our husbands had, being pregnant together, having no other friends or family in the area, and we were determined to stay close no matter how far away she was moving.  We succeeded, especially since once we confessed to each other

The standing at your door part was a bit longer while you looked at me as if unsure to call the police on this crazy lady standing on your doorstep or to politely tell me you're not buy anything I'm selling and quickly close the door in my face before my head started spinning.
