That was so NOT cool!

So I'm sitting at my computer, on the phone with Kim (skywriter1 ), and trying to work up the motivation to clean my house.  It's one of those gorgeous days where it's not gorgeous because it's sunny and blue skies and perfect temperatures, but because the sky is so grey that it makes the colors of the plants and trees so much more vibrant.  Unfortunately, ( Read more... )

one of those days

Oh thank you! And the best part about cyber chocolate... It, unlike real chocolate does not go straight to my hips!

Weather Woes... anonymous May 14 2009, 18:28:37 UTC
A good book is in order after that!! I also hate spiders and our apt here is infested with them!! On the subject of weather, our power went out last night just after Daniel got home from his last final (now all he has to do is write a thesis...). I am grateful that he was home, there was a huge thunderstorm. Our neighbor came over with her 6-month old because her hubby wasn't home and she started to freak out, so we all hung out in our apt by lantern light for a while. Aren't storms so fun sometimes?

Oh man, I remember our apartment in Oneida. *shudders* We bug bombed that place four times before we moved in and still, for the first three months we lived there, I was finding an average of 7-10 spiders in there a day. Not fun!

I'm not a big fan of thunderstorms myself. Especially not when I'm home alone at night. Glad Daniel was home for ya.

I'm very impressed -- bravery isn't the lack of fear, you know, but doing something even when terrified. Definitely a good book and some hot chocolate is in order!!

Thanks. The whole time I kept telling myself how ridiculous and irrational my fear was, but it didn't change the fact that I've got the fear. But at least I survived. Even if I did had to listen to my husband tease me about it all afternoon once he finally came home to fix it.

You were very brave today. Good girl! It sounds like you did very well in spite of panic and fear. I'm proud of you. Not only are the stairs narrow but they are pretty steep. The only suggestion I can offer if you have to venture into the basement or attic again is to wear gloves. It does help.

I'll have to try that. Of course, I'm hoping I don't have to go up there ever again.

Thanks! I don't want to have to do it again, but it is nice to know that I can, if I absolutely have to. Even if it does mess with me some.
