In the Fire Emblem common blog I and other people mantain, I was asked by the head poster and owner to review the Seisen mangas since he has his hands full with Hasha no Tsurugi already. He also asked me to gather some people's opinion on the three we have knowledge about: the ones by Nea Fuyuki, Natsu Fujimori, and Mitsuki Oosawa

Oosawa has some of the best character development, and I like that it takes a bit of a different direction with some things. Also, I hear Bridget has ship tease with Midayle AND Deu, so Molly and I can at least have both our Bridget ships to squee over. And the Levin/Mahnya makes me so happy, she's my favorite of Levin's girls even if she can't be paired with him in-game and, um, well...you know. :/

Fujimori makes me laugh, I like to read it after playing chapter 5. Helps take off some of the sting.

Fuyuki...I've only read a little of it, and I don't like that Leen isn't in there. Aless/Yuria just feels wrong to me.

I remember that... and yes, she does. So it'll either be Bridget/Midayle or Bridget/Deu for her, considering how things are going in the story. Guess we'll know sooner or later. (I tend to go for Bridget/Jamuka more, but he's with Edin already. Oh well, a Midayle is fine too.)

Ah, yes. Only read one chapter of Fuyuki's manga, but I have heard what goes on with it. Aless/Yuria... just *where* did that come from? Still waiting for an answer.

I heard even Oosawa couldn't decide. XD They're both good couples, though I prefer Deu for obvious reasons.

I don't mind crack pairings if the author can make it work, but Yuria is pretty enamored with Celice already.

I began to read Oosawa's manga after seeing the beautiful artwork and hearing that it added much more development and drama to the original story of Seisen no Keifu.

I loved it at first. The story was handled beautifully, the artistic renditions of the characters were perfect, and I adored the love at first sight and romantic interactions between Jamuka and Edain, so much that I nearly changed my preferred Edain ship.

But sadly, my enchantment slowly wore off. First of all, she had the gall to remove Holin and Beowulf! Two of my most cherished couples, completely negated! Not only that, but the incest between Lachesis and Eltosian was made canon! How disgusting! *shudders* And then, the pre-marital sex between her and Finn-! (And speaking of premarital sex, someone on the forums insists that Edain and Jamuka had it as well. *offended gasp* Edain would never do something so brazen! How dare you insist otherwise, Oosawa

How do you know, huh? Because if you say it's because she's a nun, I'll just laugh. Nuns and priests in Jugdral =/= nuns and priests here: Edin even became an abbess after having children, and I bet Ring did expect her to get married despite being a sister since she was his daughter and Bridget wasn't there anymore! And since Claude was both a holy man/priest of Blaggi *and* the Lord of Edda, I'm sure their standards are different.

Screeching "you're just WRONG", "you are ATTACKING me" and "HOW DARE YOU" to even the politest comments is NOT overdoing it? Seriously?

I like all three for various reasons...I'm not crazy about some of Oosawa's choices, but I do like the artwork and development of certain characters. Leaf and Celice are pretty cute in Fuyuki's version, too. (I hear she drew Corple and Leen even if they weren't added to the manga...maybe if she ever continues they'll show up later on?)

But my favorite is Fujimori because I like the comic twist and the adorable Edain/Midayle moments.

Ah, such a cute Corple icon! And yes, I agree with the main points. Each one has it strong and weak points, so I suppose discarding them fully just won't work. I wish the Fuyuki manga was easier to get, though.

Yeah, each manga has some things I like and some I don't, but...they're all fine in their own ways.

I hate the Oosawa manga!! It looked like there was gonna be lots of beautiful yaoi between Lex and Azel, and Sigurd and Cuan, but then they stopped it and paid too much attention to the stupid het pairings, YUCK!

Fujimori wasn't much better, but I think Azel/Midayle was supposed to be canon, yay!! ^_^ Too bad that bitch Edin had to get in the way! Same with Fuyuki's manga, Leaf and Celice were sooooooo cute together but Leaf had to end up with that bitch Nanna! *kills her*
