Jaime snorted. "Like you weren't going to anyway?"

She snorted back. "I mean a third one. To wash down the grease. It's your fault, too, you know. I used to like Moobyland."

"Hey! How is this my fault?"

"Because you got me used to real hamburgers," she hefted her full tray. "Now I eat these and don't think they're as tasty. Even at home we don't eat fast food much." Not burgers, at least. Stands and food trucks were totally different.

"You dated Aunt Karla?" Sila demanded incredulously as she and Leda entered the restaurant.

When Rain had called Leda, Leda had yelped, and the next thing the girl knew, her younger mother was leaping out of a portal and glomping her.

And after finding out that in the past year her daughter had gone through her first heartbreak she'd insisted on taking her for junkfood.

"I never told you that?" Leda signed.

"No! Hi Aunt Momoko!" Rain waved, spotting her. "Did you know about this?"

"Hiii!" Momoko stepped away from her group and came over to give slightly subdued hugs to Leda and then Rain. "Did I know what?"

"Apparently future me never told Rain that Karla and I used to date." Leda said. And now she wondered if her future daughter knew that she and Wiseguy used to date as well.

"Are you okay?" Rain asked. Aunt Momo was hardly ever subdued.

"Of course!" Momoko totally lied to her future niece. Though she was fully aware that she would tell Leda the truth later, she didn't need to burden Rain with anything. "And did I know they dated? Hmm. I can't remember. But why is it so surprising?"
