Considering the squirrels had roused her at way too early o' clock, Ada had decided it was better to head to the store from the radio station instead of the dorms.

She wasn't going to stay open all day, but this was kinda a public service, and she grabbed some markers and quickly wrote up a big sign to stick in the window.

Was she still going to be around like ten minutes after noon?

You couldn't expect him to get out of bed before noon on a day like this, Ada.

"Ades?"

Ada assumed most people weren't going to be brave enough to leave their rooms until sometime between 10-12, so yes, she was still open. Probably would be for another hour or two.

"That's me," she agreed, waving from her perch on the counter. "--Dante?"

Calling her 'Ades' was a pretty good hint; he was the only one that called her that.

"Hit th' boys too, huh?"

"I did wake up with boobs," Dante said.

Dante, stop poking your boobs.

"And what nice ones they are. Now stop pokin' 'em like that, you'll just make them sore in a not-fun way," she laughed, hopping off her perch. "'M guessin' you need pants that fit?"

Like last time this had happened, Isabela wasn't particularly fazed so much as lacking any clothing whatsoever that fit. So she made her way down to the store wearing not much more than a bedsheet wrapped around her waist and a smile. "Morning, sweet thing."

"You know, you coulda texted me an' asked me to bring you pants, but instead you chose t' saunter through town in half a toga," Ada said, amused. "--you want something practical, or something fun?"

Ada, no.

Isabela grinned shamelessly. "I'm always up for something fun."

"I shoulda guessed you'd say that," she laughed, beckoning for Isabela to follow her. "Now let's see..."

She grabbed a ridiculous pair of silky leopard-print boxers and handed them to Isabela. "Go put these on t' start with, 'cause they're silly an' soft an' you'll like 'em for lounging even when you're girl-shaped." And because no, Isabela, you didn't get to try stuff on commando.

She then picked out a pair of leather pants, and some guy skinny jeans like Dante normally favored. "See if you like either of these?"

"Beat me to it, huh?" Sparkle was actually in a pretty great mood today as he peeked into the shop. "I'd say great minds think alike, but like ninety-five percent of the time I'm a complete moron. You are so getting a bonus on your next cheque, though."

And then he gave Ada two thumbs-up and a big ol' grin.

"Good minion."

A pause.

"Unless you are not, in fact, Ada, and there is actually a random dude opening my shop today. In which case good job, and can I interest you in a regular Saturday shift?"

It didn't hurt to have all his bases covered, okay?

"Nah, 'm th' pied purple people-eater. I just decided t' switch m' focus t' fashion," Ada deadpanned, looking up from the register. "--aw, you're a cute girl!"

In response to that, Sparkle had to grin and give a little spin, holding out his arms to show off. He was a cute girl, thank you very much, and he was perfectly fine with that.

"And you're a cute guy," he countered when he stopped, grinning a little. "Secret prerequisite for working here? Cuteness. I just decided."

That wouldn't be hard. Like everyone on the island was cute anyway.

"I think it's th' requirement for enrollment," Ada laughed. "I mean, we got th' llama, but everyone else's kinda cute in their own way."
