Alright, Jono was here. Jono was totally not freaking out in the least. Jono had set up a few mics and patch cables onstage in case anybody showed up and wanted to jam, and

//If we don't end up with a drummer, so help me I will pick up a drum set and teach my own bloody self,// Jono decided, raising his eyebrows a little. //We'll see what sort of disaster that turns out to be, if I do.//

//Feels like cheating,// Jono replied, a joking note in his voice. //But I suppose if it came to that, we could. I can't be drums and bass at the same time, anyway.//
It would be tricky. He didn't have that many arms.

//I do have that going for me,// Jono agreed, demonstrating as he threw off a few bright-white sparks. //Hell, I have more experience as a light show. With any luck a bassist will show up and I can put all of my energy into what I'm good at.//
Which would leave him to play light show, because he didn't want to steal anybody's thunder by breaking out his own guitar. This was meant for fun, after all.

//Hard to say,// Jono admitted. //I think Pinkie could probably be persuaded to play practically anything, so long as it's fun. I haven't decided what to make of Xanthippe, though.//
But hell, plenty of metal used classical instruments, too. They could probably find a happy medium between them.

//So long as nobody here wants to do any Sugar Kane covers, I can live with that, too.//
Sugar Kane was strictly off-limits. Jono carried a few of her albums at Groovy Tunes, but none of her more recent ones. He had writing credits on those and really didn't want to hear her singing his work. Or hear her in general.

Jono blinked, impressed after a moment spent actually a little thrown.
//Ah, no. No. A musician from my own reality. Bubblegum pop, but she was trying to go for a more grown-up feel. A little bit Brit Britney Spears, really.//

In Dante's defense, it turned out there were a couple of bands actually worth his time. Not that he was ever admitting to Starsmore he'd spent any amount of time trying to play 'Where Is My Mind'.
"Oh, fuck no," he said, pulling a face. "No late 90s bubblegum shit in anything I'm playing, thanks."
Whatever band we can agree on putting together if people try out, mostly. Jono's pretty much winging this.

He shook his head, sighed, and played an E chord. It felt like an E chord kind of moment.

If she never pulled her instrument out of the case, they could put her on the spoons or something.

Ugh, Sugar Kane.

Don't call him on his knowledge of ancient rock bands, Jono. It was mostly your fault anyway.
