That...was a sight that Peter couldn't exactly pass by.

He stuck his head in the door, watched for a moment, then gave Jono a bemused look. "What - do I want to know?"

//Mate, there are times when I wished even I didn't know,// Jono replied, glancing up at Peter and nodding as he peered in. //Mostly it's just that I needed an assist checking the quality of this equipment, since, ah...//

Look, he had a bit of a technical difficulty in that area.

"Oh. Right." Peter shifted awkwardly, then decided if Jono wasn't going to be cagey about it, neither would he.

"What's the equipment for? And...who are they?" They were very blue.

//The equipment's for a Valentine's party at the Boards,// Jono replied, shrugging. //Friend of mine is putting me up to it. Bad karaoke, drunken charades, all sorts of stupidity. With any luck it'll at the very least remind people that the business still exist--//

He was cut off by another exuberant chorus of 'La la la la la!'

//... Right. And these are my tenants. Sort of. They live under the shelving. I'm charging them rent.//
