Edges of the Park; Saturday Night

Dec 10, 2016 20:20

Raven was desperate to do something useful, so patrolling the edges of the park for any trouble that might threaten the makeshift village within seemed like a plan. She was frustrated by her inability to heal any of the "hollow" she'd encountered, and she was anxious to get Karla back to Glacia and (relative) safety, but she couldn't teleport off ( Read more... )

Waking up still stuck in Hell Fandom was disappointing, but not particularly surprising. Allie was going to cross her fingers and hope that the usual Fandom luck kicked in at some point soon and got them the hell out of here before anyone else got hurt.

But until that happened, the best thing to do was to make sure the small village of survivors was safe.

Huh. it looked like someone else had the same idea.

"It seems quiet," Allie observed. "I hope it stays that way."

Raven peered at the woman in the darkness. She wasn't sensing hostility, at least.

"Are you from here or from the real Fandom?" she had to ask. Because of course her Fandom was the real one.

Allie was just as wary. "I'm from the Fandom where the biggest problem a few days ago was overly touchy polar bears. How about that?"

Raven smiled despite herself. "I was not there for that, but I have dealt with similar things in the past," she said.

Shiemi had a hard time finding her way around town on a good day, but this time she was completely at a loss. It apparently wasn't just that she'd been gone on a week-long eXwire mission this time, though.

"What's happened to the island?" she wondered aloud as she walked, trying to get back to the dorms. Everything looked so different and, well, like something was wrong... She was actually more than a little frightened, being out tonight.

Her confusion and fear were real, Raven could sense, certain this girl was from her own Fandom.

"We have apparently merged with another Fandom," she said. "Please, come into the park, it is safer here. You should not wander alone until this crisis has passed."

"Ano... I'm sorry. Have... have we m-met?" Shiemi backed up a little as the woman approached. her fear of the dark momentarily trumped by her social anxiety. She didn't back too far away, though. She'd been an exorcist just long enough to know that no matter what was in front of her... she could always back into worse things. And she usually did.

Raven projected a pulse of comfort and calm. "No, we have not, but I am Raven," she said. "I used to be a student here. Do you go to the school now?"
