The Rocky Bits out behind Hannibal's house, Wednesday afternoon/evening

The island had been strange today, flickering and moving. Hannibal suspected most of the people were staying close to the village - those who remembered enough to, anyway. Something's happening. Hannibal came closer to where Jono was; he was careful of the rocks, careful of speaking out loud and drawing the attention of other things, but he'd never been careful or worried about Jono and he wasn't about to start now.

Hannibal reached out to steady himself against Jono's leg as he found a place with a good view below. What is it?Can you tell?

He'd almost forgotten what daylight looked like, though whether that was his memory or natural human lapse, he wasn't sure.
