Jaina had pieced together a few clues about today, but not nearly enough. She hadn't found any kind of ID, and she hadn't found anything on her phone yet to give her a name. She was wearing a wedding ring, but she was alone and there wasn't any guys' stuff in the apartment she'd woken up on, so maybe she was separated? She clearly had to take more

Fred didn't know who he was (Boomerang), why he was wearing this goofy costume covered in boomerangs (he skipped his first class to take an out of town job and got back late so he just fell asleep on his couch), or why nobody spoke in a reasonable accent like his (America), but he did know one thing: coffee smelled great.

Once he got a cup, he took a seat and called out to the woman by the window in case she knew anything about why he was here or who he was or anything like that. "Hey, lady. Just checking, do you know what's up with this place?"

"Yeah, it serves coffee," Jaina said.

She might not know who she was, but the snark was at least everpresent.

"Oh right, people are the worst! I forgot that somehow. Thanks for the reminder," Fred said, toasting her with his coffee cup.

"Anytime," she said, toasting back. "I have no idea. I was hoping someone here would know but it's not looking very likely."
