The Valkyries are riding a little less loudly inside, which just means you can admire the interior decorations in all their glory.

Given that there were no small number of cardboard cutouts of Fabio (The most beautiful man in the cosmos) wearing a Viking helmet, horns and all, this mightn't have been such a good thing.

Dante was here as Alana's date, and she'd asked him to break out the corset again - so there he was, arms crossed as he took in the end results of all of StuCo's hard brainstorming work.

"I guess somebody was feeling horny," he said to one of the cutouts.

Alana made a face. "Good body, but I can't deal with guys with longer hair than mine," she decided. "Maybe if he cut his hair."

As promised, her dress was short and white, with a sheer overskirt on one side that almost touched the floor.

"Yeah, it's a little too 80s." And if something was too 80s for the guy with twin pistols called Ebony and Ivory, it was really 80s. Dante grinned at her. "Guess we'll just have to do the hard work of classing up the joint."

Most of the backdrops were blown-up Viking-themed romance covers, but there were a few (highly accurate) ones of the decks of Viking ships.

In addition to the usual spread, there was a noticeable amount of smoked fish. Also breathmints for anyone who actually ate the fish.

Not to mention the punch. Was it spiked? Only time could tell.

Frank could also tell if the punch was spiked. The answer was a sad "No." And that's why he threw that cup away and grabbed a new one for the bourbon that he brought with him.

Music was playing, glitter lay about like snowdrifts, it was time to find a partner and dance.

After a few glasses of punch, Alana wandered away from Dante and onto the dance floor. She wasn't a great dancer, but she was having fun twirling through the glitter with flared wings.

Jalian shrugged. "The moves I see, some remind me of learning when I was little." She demonstrated a few martial moves. "If you repeat them, see?"

Hanna was mostly taking photos. Because she hadn't really planned on coming, but how could she resist Raven in a tiara? That one got sent to Kathy immediately, as well as every one of their friends that she saw.

Plus the giant Fabio cut-out.
