After the terrible, terrible movie in class, Isabela needed a distraction, and she had a good idea of where to find one.

"You up there today?" she called out from the street.

Dante squinted down over the edge of the roof, making the barest effort to sit up. "Yeah," he called. "What's up?"

"Terrible sex movies." Truly a tragedy of the ages. "Not even in a fun way."

And at that, Dante sat forward more. "What, like bad porn?"

Ringo didn't go by the Kwik Stop on her daily ride because it was Tuesday. It just happened that it was on her route today. So she looked appropriately surprised when she saw Dante.

She skidded to a stop on the roof, giving both Dante and his cat plenty of space. "Hey, you."

"Hey, if it isn't the cage fighter on wheels," Dante said lazily, squinting in her general direction without getting up.
