This year's Homecoming had an autumn forest theme, and as such it was more natural than certain dances in years past. The tables bore pumpkin centerpieces, and bales of hay occupied the corners. After one more quick check of the punch, Zoe made her way up with some cards and crowns to announce the court.

"Good evening," she said. "Thank you all for voting this week. It's my pleasure to announce this year's Homecoming Court. For the freshmen, your queen is a tie between Alluka Zoldyck and April, and your king is... Waddles the pig?" Sorry Dipper, the numbers didn't lie. "Okay, for sophomores, your queen is Maria DeLuca, and your king is Dante." God help them all. "For the juniors, your queen is Isabela, and your king is Thorin. And for the seniors, your Homecoming King is Ezra Sagishi, and your tieing Queens are Alana, Kathy Li, and Gwen Stacy."

Kathy hadn't expected to win, so the announcement came, it caught her mid-drink. And then she started coughing, because her brain heard Ezra's name linked with three girls and had to laugh.
