But Sarah had insisted and then reminded her how she'd taken the fall for that and then threatened to tell their parents that Kathy was apparently flirting with boys and somewhere in the intersection of pestering, guilt, and blackmail, Kathy found herself reluctantly agreeing.
God, Sarah, you were such a brat.
"Hi, my name is Kathy Li and I'm singing, With the Heart to Forget You," she said, doing her best not to make eye contact with anyone. Nervous, the first few lines were breathier than she would have liked, but she got into the swing of it soon enough.
