Simulation 45y was failing.
Angry red lights were going off everywhere. Along with claxons. Too many claxons. Zin were running around, trying to shut off one claxon after another.
There was a lot of yelling.
And pods kept opening.
That was inconvenient.

Or find some other way to break out. Maybe you have friends on the outside?

That really just made him want to kick them in the faces some more. Come on, Fandom, why couldn't he keep that stomping power he'd gotten this morning?
Reply
You know, the kind of people he hated most.
"Teethree? Pants?"
He was steering the Hawk back towards the MCA building. It felt good to be back in the pilot's seat, for sure.

Sparkle's rage was truly a force to be reckoned with.

He snagged the pants out of T3's clutches.

There was a long pause before he added, a little more quietly, "Can I crash at your place tonight?"
He was already so long gone from Toronto that he'd be in shit regardless of one extra night on the island or not. And, Sparkle-filter or not, Atton was kind of his touchstone to the real world, here.
He was safer around Atton. And Toronto felt not-safe-at-all in all kinds of ways that he wasn't ready to think about just yet.

"Sure," he said.
The answer didn't really need to be more complicated than that.
Reply
"Thanks."
Really, what else was there to say?

Atton retreated back into his own mind as he began landing procedures on the roof of MCA. Somebody was lecturing him on the Dark Side on there, and as much as he wanted to flip that somebody off, he was pretty sure he was actually going to wind up spending a chunk of the night meditating, at least after Sparkle went back to sleep.
T3 let out an obnoxiously merry chirp when the Hawk touched down. Atton whacked it in the head. That made him feel better.
Reply
Look, he could handle obnoxiously merry right about then. Obnoxiously merry really worked for him today.
"Hey," he said, grinning crookedly. "Ground."
Rooftop. Close enough.

A thousand apologies, Ebon Hawk.

He slid out of his seat, then, and mostly just followed up the act of standing by... continuing to stand. Awkwardly.
"Would you two like a moment alone?"
Reply
He cleared his throat. "--Anyway Let's go."
He had all day tomorrow to hug his starship.
Reply
The ship, her pilot, everybody. Whichever.

So it was totally business as usual on the island. Had to be.
