The Zin Ship Above Fandom, Sunday Morning and Afternoon

Aug 02, 2015 09:02

Simulation 45y was failing.

Angry red lights were going off everywhere. Along with claxons. Too many claxons. Zin were running around, trying to shut off one claxon after another.

There was a lot of yelling.

And pods kept opening.

That was inconvenient.

The inside of the Zin ship is a maze of corridors and stairs, patrolled by various Zin guards.

Too bad for them they're not really expecting a break-out.

Clint may not have had any cool powers anymore, but he missed his dogs and he missed his bow and he missed Kitty and every Zin that got in his way was paying for it. He wasn't mad enough to kill them, but they were going to be hurting for quite a while.

He'd be hurting too since he wasn't exactly avoiding them, and all he had to fight with was his own body, but a few laser-graze marks would be worth the trouble if he could find a way out. As for the nakedness... well, he'd been naked in weirder places, and he didn't have anything to be ashamed of.

So it seemed that these guys were even less used to someone just stalking up and yanking their guns out of their hands than most human thugs were. They certainly didn't seem ready for a fist fight. One of them managed to get a lucky shot in across the top of Eliot's bicep when he stopped to check a pod room, but that really just made Eliot angrier.

Which was impressive, really. Eliot was already extremely pissed off.

Once she knew she was in a pod, it didn't take Parker very long to get out of it. Now she was fiddling with some of the door locks to make them open and close randomly.

Ooops. Zin-idiots.

Hmm, they really weren't good at climbing, were they?

They were very good at being distracted from the naked man coming up to take them down, though.

Seriously, these punks were the ones who'd kept them locked up for several days? No wonder they'd had to take everyone while they were sleeping.

"Parker!" Eliot couldn't help but grin when he saw what she was doing. "Stop playin' around and let's go find our boy."

Oh hey, he managed to say an entire sentence without the word "fuck" in it!

Parker grinned back at him, and swung around to hang from her fingertips, then drop down.

"Who's playing? Ooo, can I have a space-gun?"

Naked hugs were awesome. Hmm. Maybe she could change her mind on hugs, as long as she started it. Maaaybe.

They were going to have to revisit the concept of the happy naked hug at a time when there weren't likely to be more aliens bearing down on them at any moment.

Also when Eliot didn't have a laser burn across his arm.

"You don't need a space gun."

"It's not about need," Parker pointed out, then rubbed at the burn. "You got hurt already? Eliot!"

And then more Zin showed up. As they do. Whoops.

"OW!" Eliot shrugged his arm away from her hand. "It'd be fine if you'd stop pokin' at it."

Ahhhh, marrieds.

"You want the one on the left?" he offered as he saw the approaching Zin. This left the three on the right for him. Which he felt was reasonably fair.

Parker gave him her cheerfully maniacal grin and went into a cartwheel, feet whapping into the Zin's head as soon as Eliot picked his out.

She'd help after she got done teaching this guy a lesson.

Where was Hardison?

She might not have time to. Eliot's muscles were finally warming up again and he had a lot of pent up anger and frustration to work out on these guys.

He managed to dismantle the last laser gun and tossed the parts over his shoulder, then shook his hair out of his face. "Which areas have you already searched? I got through a handful of pod rooms down that way."

"The level right above us. Pretty empty, mostly empty pods and Zin bodies. I just got to this one when I ran into you." She grinned and then looked sadly at the gun. Aw, Eliot. That would've been fun. "Should we run around yelling HARDISON! or did you see anything like an intercom we can hijack?"

Excuse you, Parker, guns were not fun. Not even the ones that shot lasers.

"I ain't honestly sure I'd recognize an intercom in here if I did see one," Eliot admitted. "Not sure he'd hear us over all these alarms and screaming either way, though."

Parker grimaced. "Just keep looking then." She cheered up a little. "He'll probably find us before we find him, just like last time." She kicked one of the Zin, just to feel better, and then said, "I miss the car. We need to get one like that when we're home."

"You know you won't actually be able to go joyriding in the streets in Fandom, right? Not unless you get a scooter or somethin' instead." Eliot was just crushing all of her materialistic dreams today, wasn't he. "But I bet we could find somewhere for you to drive it on the mainland." He opened the next door to find another empty pod and resisted the urge to punch the wall. Then he started stalking down the hallway again. "How big is this damn place?"

Unlike her RPG video games, the ship did NOT have any useful chests just lying around containing her missing clothing and gear. Kathy was definitely giving this whole experience 0 stars and a scathing review on Intergalactic Yelp or whatever.

So fine. Naked. She was running around a spaceship naked. Raven did it all the time, right? She'd just pretend that this didn't bother her at all (fake it till you make it, right?) and bounce through the corridors at full speed. Come at her, bros. She had some issues she'd gladly work through on your face.
