The Zin Ship Above Fandom, Sunday Morning and Afternoon

Aug 02, 2015 09:02

Simulation 45y was failing.

Angry red lights were going off everywhere. Along with claxons. Too many claxons. Zin were running around, trying to shut off one claxon after another.

There was a lot of yelling.

And pods kept opening.

That was inconvenient.

Unlike her RPG video games, the ship did NOT have any useful chests just lying around containing her missing clothing and gear. Kathy was definitely giving this whole experience 0 stars and a scathing review on Intergalactic Yelp or whatever.

So fine. Naked. She was running around a spaceship naked. Raven did it all the time, right? She'd just pretend that this didn't bother her at all (fake it till you make it, right?) and bounce through the corridors at full speed. Come at her, bros. She had some issues she'd gladly work through on your face.

The alarms had put all of the Zin soldiers on high alert, and a pack of them just happened to be turning into the same corridor as Kathy as she sped by. "Wait, you there! Stop!" one of them yelled.

"Oh, sure, I'll get right fucking on that," Kathy snapped, rolling her eyes.

Except--wait. These guys had clothes. Well, sorta. Close enough for government work. So rather than continuing on, she reversed direction in a single bounce, charging at them at full speed. She might weigh in at practically nothing, but getting slammed into at 90 miles an hour, feet first, didn't feel good for anybody.

Taking down one of them with that exact maneuver, Kathy found herself in the middle of a group of soldiers, in the middle of a huge hallways with plenty of room to bounce around. Perfect. "You motherfuckers are in for a whole new world of fucking pain," she told them. Grinning. "I'll give you one chance to surrender, though, because I'm a fucking nice person."

On one hand, Kathy was clearly faster than she looked, as evidenced by the soldier unconscious on the ground. On the other hand, she was naked and outnumbered, and they had guns, which they cocked in response to her threat. "You're going back to your pod."

"Did you know there's a scientific study that says that only giant assholes use guns?" Kathy asked cheerfully. "I'm guessing you lot were the sample they studied?"

Her eyes tracked out her path. Handspring, hammer kick, bounce to the ceiling, drop...

"So, did you want to stand around threatening me with bullshit some--" And she was snapping her foot back to slam it into the stomach of the Zin standing behind her, then fling herself to the ground in the somersault.

The soldiers who were still standing roared and fired at her - or, at least, where she was at the given moment since she was too damn fast. They were quite proud of their guns, thank you very much.

Yeah, Kathy had guessed there was some kind of weird psycho-sexual thing going on with the guns.

She popped up behind one of them, elbow hooked around his (hers? its?) throat, knees in her (its? his?) kidneys. Her other hand yanked its arm up and around, the gun pointed uselessly at the ceiling.

Sleeper holds were effective within nine seconds. At ten seconds out, Kathy had launched herself off her target's back and snatched at his gun. She didn't keep it, instead whipping it at the temple of the Zin soldier across from her. It hit with a crunching noise and that guy dropped, too.

"Warned you cocksuckers," Kathy said as she bounced up into the air and delivered a spin kick to the back of the head of a third. Dammit, Wild West sim! Enough with the vocabulary already! "There's a reason I'm a goddamn superhero."

One of the soldiers, upon seeing how skillfully Kathy was taking his associates down, turned and tried to run away. Another tried to stop him, but that earned him the kick to the back of the head.

The third soldier wasn't giving up though, and he just kept firing. "Stop moving!" he yelled, like that was going to be in any way effective. He might have been a good shot, but that didn't mean he was super bright.

Yeah, sure, Kathy was gonna get right on top of that. Sure thing boss. She circled the room a few times, seeing if the laser would either run out of charge or bounce off a metallic surface and smack the soldier in the chest, but neither seemed to be an option.

Fine. She'd take this last guy out herself then. Running up a wall, she turned and pushed herself off the surface, tackling him and riding him all the way to the floor. She landed on his chest and pushed herself up on her knees. "Not very strong!" she said, repeatedly punching him in the face. "But...lucky for me...Force equals mass times acceleration!"

Which, if the soldier didn't speak nerd, meant that since Kathy could hit very, very, very fast, she could also hit pretty hard. Or maybe he was able to translate that for himself after she punched him in the face nine times within a second.

The soldier didn't speak nerd, but he did understand the language of punches to the face! Or, he would have if he was conscious anymore, but ow, not so much.

And that left her with plenty of clothing to pick from! Several of their loincloths made for acceptable skirts and two of their crossed bandoliers served as a decent enough top. It wouldn't if she'd had a little more going on up top than she had, but it served for now.

After using one blaster to destroy the others, she tucked the last one into the waistband of her scavenged armor and stalked off through the rest of the ship. She was so done with this place.

[Thank you!]
