Fandom High 20 Year Reunion Mixer, Community Center, Saturday Evening

Much like the last time this event had taken place, it would appear to anyone who came to the community center tonight that whoever had been responsible for decorating for the reunion mixer actually had some taste. The decorations were simple - blue linen on the tables with gold flowers as centerpieces, and a notable lack of any tacky accoutrements

The DJ was playing all the classics of the 2010's, as well as any tunes performed by the talented alumni of Fandom High.

Raven had to laugh when she heard Taylor Swift come on. She was perfectly happy to cut up the dance floor all on her own, though she kept up an eye for a good dancing partner.

"Fancy meeting you here," Kathy said. As soon as she'd spotted the blue woman on the dance floor, there was no force on earth that could have kept her from joining in.

A hug was an acceptable dance move, right? "Raven, hello! It's so wonderful to see you!"

Raven didn't give a crap if it was or wasn't. "Kathy! I was hoping you'd make it! You look great!"

"And so do you!" Kathy said, laughing and squeezing Raven tight. "I'm so thrilled I could be here, too, you have no idea. I think I've eaten my bodyweight in cheese and pastries so far."

The end of the world wasn't known for its gourmet dining.

"Given any thought about coming home with me so I can have a body double when I want to sneak out at night and patrol like old times?"

"Depends," Raven said. "Do I get to meet any of the other dashing superheroes while I'm there?"

"Well, my husband is off somewhere eating steak until he explodes, so you might have to wait to meet him," Kathy grinned, "but we've got plenty of others back home. No falling for Stealth, though. She's amazing, but she'd also with George and I can't handle the puppy eyes."

"Even for just a fling? From what you've described, George doesn't sound half bad, himself. . . ."

"I don't think George does flings, honestly," Kathy admitted. "He's too much a heart on his sleeve kinda guy. I mean, I know he and Lady B had something, but that was mostly him killing time before Karen looked back." Kathy tilted her head, considering. "I could see you with Captain Freedom, though. He could use someone to ruffle someone of that military starch. Or Driver. You and Driver would get along like a house on fire. Maybe even Dead Girl, except she's, well, dead."

That didn't stop Maddie from being entirely awesome.

"Like I'd invite you somewhere you couldn't make mischief," Kathy said, pretending to be appalled. "We're friends, Raven! I wouldn't do that to you!"

"Whenever I could possibly talk you into it," Raven answered. "I promise to only shift into another shape for sexy times if they ask me to after I've seduced them."
