Upon entering the Town Hall tonight, dance attendees might notice a very definite theme tonight! A very definite, very sparkly theme tonight, with enough glitter strewn around the place that there were, in fact, glitterdrifts piling up around the edges of the dance floor. If you weren't quite certain what 'glitterpunk' was supposed to mean while getting ready for the dance tonight, don't worry! There are plenty of glittery hair accessories, neckties, fingerless gloves, brightly-coloured hair mascaras, and even a selection of bedazzlers to put to work on your way in!

... It was possible that StuCo didn't know what glitterpunk meant, either, but don't hold that against them. There was actually a chance that they'd made a dent in the school's glitter reserves tonight.

Alana was on StuCo,and she was definitely fuzzy on what exactly a glitterpunk was. She'd decided to semi-ignore the theme and just wear a purple dress she liked, with streaks of purple glittery temporary color in her hair to match the theme. She added some fingerless gloves on her way in the door.

It promised to be a good night. The cute date didn't hurt,either.

Johnny was wearing a glittery vintage tee under his suit jacket. With that, Johnny considered himself the ultimate accessory.

"You know, I knew the theme was glitterpunk. I dressed to try to match the theme. And I still didn't expect this."

"It's more than I expected, and I helped plan it," Alana agreed. "I think this might be all the glitter in the state."

"I'll make it a point to not flame on and blind everyone with the flare up that would cause," Johnny promised. "Unless we need to make a quick getaway. Or you might find it even slightly impressive. Let's be honest, you know how I work by now."

"I'd be impressed, but I'd also be blind," Alana pointed out. "Plus there's the potential for fiery death. So it'd kind of cancel itself out."

"Hey, no, no fiery death, no matter how careless I'm being, I promise," Johnny said. "I don't make too many promises, but no death is one of them."

"You know how to make me feel safe," Alana said, with a squeeze of Johnny's arm that only transferred eight or fifteen particles of glitter.

The stuff was endemic.

"I promise to do my best to keep you away from fiery death, too."

"If somebody wants total safety, they wouldn't date a superhero who plays with fire," Johnny said, leaning over. "But I do appreciate any and all efforts to keep me safe despite that."

"You might have a point there," Alana admitted. "Darn. I'm going to have to find some nice plumber to go out with now."

She leaned back toward him, intending to kiss him. So possibly she wasn't entirely serious about her need for safety.

"If I meet any plumbers, I'll give them your number," Johnny suggested before leaning in to kiss her.

Alana relaxed into the kiss, bringing a hand up to run over Johnny's jaw and brush at the back of his neck.

"Maybe I can hang around you for a little while," she said softly, once the kiss ended. "A good plumber's hard to find."

Ichabod had offered Celia his arm before they entered the hall. It should come as no surprise to anyone who knew him that he was wearing clothes from his own time, the best he had brought with him.

"There is no lack of decoration in this room," he observed, smiling at Celia.

Celia had planned to wear something of her own time, though perhaps augmented with her gifts, but shopping with Eleanor had proved fruitful. The comb she was using to sweep her hair to one side, though, was entirely of her own creation.

"We're going to be covered in glitter for days," she observed, looking around in mild alarm.

He had complimented her on her outfit, not that it ever surprised Ichabod to find Celia beautiful.

"I believe you are right," he said. "Are you familiar with the word glitterpunk? That is what they call the theme, is it not?"
