Patience was a good thing to have when waiting on Yeul, since she tended to walk idly along rather than pick up the pace and hurry anywhere.

But she was pleased Liara had asked for her company and, so, when she finally reached the causeway, she smiled sunnily at Liara. "Hello!" she said cheerfully. "I hope you did not mind waiting on me."

"Of course not," Liara said quickly, putting aside the book she had been rifling through during her wait. "Hello, Yeul. Thank you for coming with me."

"You're welcome," Yeul replied, though it didn't really need thanks as far as she was concerned. "Were you looking for a particular book off-island? I must admit, I rarely go to Baltimore."

She was looking forward to it, in her own way.

"There are a series of books on lesser-known human archaeological findings that I would like to explore," Liara said, turning towards the causeway. "Most of the literature I have found here is obsessed with the Egyptian Pharaohs."
