Elsa came in to the Magic Box today with an armload of books from the back room that she'd borrowed while the island had been busy imploding on itself. So the versions of Cecil with extra parts had had better-maintained bloodstone circles, but now he was back to being this version of himself again, he still needed that polish.

So here he was, back in the shop. "Hi, Elsa!" He waved. "Were you ever able to get that bloodstone polish?"

"As a matter of fact, I..." Elsa paused as she looked at the boy who had just walked into the shop. He looked familiar, but she certainly remembered a much older man asking for the bloodstone polish, before.

She blinked.

"... Have. It's out by the semiprecious stones, but the bottles are turned around."

Because she didn't like the way they stared at her.

"Wonderful!" He smiled at her and went to get it. "Oh, this is just the right kind!" The eye stared back at him, and he grinned at it. "I'm so glad; they really need it."

"Well, we aim to be helpful," Elsa offered, deciding that Cecil's attitude certainly hadn't changed, even if his age had. "We'll just keep getting that kind in for you, then. Is there anything else you need in order to keep them properly maintained?"

Elsa wasn't the only one with books out, and really, returning them today just meant that Rinoa could use the opportunity to check up on one of her employees.

Elsa would probably be relieved that her employer was currently wearing a completely pedestrian sundress, all things considered.

"Well, it's good to know that even if I go barking mad, you'll keep opening up the shop like usual," she said, by way of a greeting.

"Well... it's my job," Elsa replied, looking up at Rinoa with a little smile from where she was sitting behind the counter. "I was only a little crazy, after all. Hardly any excuse at all."
