The Park | Sunday Morning

It got boring staying inside your room for too long. Sure, Jim was a pro at entertaining himself but he also got bored easily and got curious even easier. There was crap going on around the island and he'd been hearing a rhyming voice for awhile now and staying inside his room just wasn't an attractive option even if it was cold out there ( Read more... )

The park was about to make things interesting for him. At least if he was going past the pond. Because a familiar-ish figure was there, crouched down in an ill-fitting winter coat to coo at the flamingos.

Yeah, Suzy was handling being in the wrong Fandom just fine. At least now that she'd managed to get some weather-appropriate clothes the wear over her usual Roman garb.

She was also in kind of imminent danger of falling into the cold pond with the way she was leaning forward and trying to call the birds to her.

Jim didn't immediately recognize that the girl was familiar but he could see that she was about to take a swim if he didn't say something.

For a second, he warred with himself, not sure if he wanted to say something to someone he didn't know but then...

Damn him for being a good guy. "Unless you're wanting to take a swim, you might wanna slide back."

Suzy looked over her shoulder with a big smile and shook her head. "Oh, no, I'm totally fine, I have great balance!"

Yeah, she fell on her ass... basically as soon as she'd said that. But she just laughed. And, hey, it was better than it would have been to fall forward, because that would have landed her in the pond. "Oopsie."

And now Jim recognized the face and immediately wanted to go home and go back to sleep. Dammit. The use of 'oopsie' pretty much immediately told him this wasn't Natalie.

"Yeah, great balance," he noted with a raised eyebrow. "I'm impressed."

Sia was definitely not bundled up for her run today, though she was very good at finding new tools in her anger arsenal, such as "It's cold" and "Why the hell was I conditioned to do things like this?" so she didn't look at all like she minded. Though that had to do with her being better at tamping down emotions and annoyances and less to do with actual comfort.

She slowed when she came across him, asking, "What brings you out?"

"Boredom," Jim said, slanting a glance her way. "Lots and lots of boredom."

"So you go for a quiet walk in a boring place?" she asked, looking amused.

"I'm looking to make my own fun out here," Jim said, shrugging. "Easier to do outside then inside a small dorm room."

"Hello, Jim."

Oh, look. It was his favourite Mord'Sith.

"You haven't left yet?" Jim asked, making a face at that familiar voice. "Isn't there a BDSM club that's missing it's favorite dominatrix?"

He missed her so much!

"Still here, I'm coming to quite enjoy the place." She could tell!

"I wouldn't know, but if there is, I'm sure you could accompany me there." Because that's what happened when you gave her ideas, Jim.

"You haven't asked me nicely," Jim pointed out, shaking his head. "I go nowhere with someone whose not polite."
