Bruce was not here to check out the general area that had recently launched an invasion. He was just here for a good meal. He had not spent any time under the boardwalk seeing if there was any strategic value to be gained here for future invasions and he definitely didn't make some measurements to determine how easily these buildings could be

Jess had called in an order to bring back to the house for dinner. Did they do that here? Who knew, but it was Jess, so she was obviously nice enough that they'd do it for her anyway. And while she was waiting around for it, she leaned up against the counter and looked around.

"Hey there."

"Evening," Bruce said. "Getting takeout, or are you just getting really bad service?"

"Takeout. The service remains to be seen, but I'm hopeful. How's yours?"

That's probably not a normal question to ask, Jess.

"No complaints. The server is still on track for a very nice tip," Bruce answered. "So far, at least."
