Topher bounced in only a few minutes later than they had arranged to meet, armed with a yellow legal pad for taking notes. He was sure Peter was going to have a lot of valuable insight on the subject of how to behave in a college interview, so he thought it would be wise to write it down.
"Happy Friday," he said brightly, claiming the seat across from Peter. "I think this is gonna be fun. Are you excited? I'm excited."
"Technically I'm not definitely going there yet, hence the need for interview practice," Topher disclaimed, with a sweeping gesture to indicate the café. "But it's Stanford. It still exists in the future, right?" It would be unfortunate if his degree wound up being worthless in a few hundred years, was all.
