Derek was working at the Perk today. No, not working as in 'writing a novel in public so people can see him' or 'sitting around, contemplating how terrible his life really was'. He was working as a barista.

Cara was in the Perk because of the things that was worth coming back to Fandom for, getting coffee was the ones that could happen in a comm public without repercussions.

"Coffee." Someone was just as cheerful and polite as Derek today.

Maybe they'd wipe themselves out in the flame war about getting rid of two canon queer ships for a het one? (The one about whether Sterek was canon would wipe out any stragglers.)

Did you want slow service, the kind that didn't even recognize you existed for about, say, 11 hours from the time this comment went up? And when it eventually came, did you want it served with attitude?

Fortunately, Mira was here to serve you! Eventually. And poorly. She was going to go ahead and let Derek and whoever else do all of the real work for a while.
